Prospect14

Prospect14 came to us with a need for some exploration into available lands that would be suitable for development of solar farms. They wanted to find parcels in the state of Pennsylvania that met requirements that came about through years of experience in the industry.

Suitability Modelling

We built a customized suitability model based on slope, aspect, landcover, proximity to existing transmission lines and substations, economic opportunity zones, and additional proprietary factors. The customizable web mapping application put the controls of the model into the hands of the GlidePath team. They could manipulate the model to fit their own needs.

We also built custom 3D web scene viewers that allowed them to visualize and analyze properties in a deeper context. This also provided a way to assess properties in remote areas without having to spend time and money on travel and field work.

The applications we created included various tools that were designed to fit the client needs. The tool displayed below was built to show specific attributes for individual parcels that were deemed suitable. Being able to see the information prior to making an investment gave Prospect14 the upper hand when it came to finding the proper location for their solar developments.
